2004 Stamp Issues

Not all of the stamps and variants issued in 2004 are still available for purchase. As the order number is often used for catalogisation purposes, all variants are listed with their respective order number, but only items where a CW price is displayed can still be ordered while supply lasts. Unissued stamps are marked with an "X" in the order number, stamps not for sale are marked with (RARE).

Printing runs are not known, but even for rare variants, at least one full sheet (15 pcs for fixed, about 40 for standard size line perforation) has been printed. Stamps were used both on shipments and as yourstamps marketing samples, sent out to potential customers. This means that even stamp variants known only in one sample might be found on the market, e.g on ebay.

All stamps issued in 2004 were printed by yourstamps on a Minolta Magicolor 2350 laser printer.

Commemorative Issue "Federation of Musograd"

FM200401 Federation of Musograd

  • On 2004.01.01, Musograd introduced a new constitution with a federal state structure based on autonomous but not sovereign provinces, renaming the country "Federation of Musograd". The eagle depicted on the stamp symbolizes the state and the hope of the citizens to regain unity, a hope that was fulfilled years later by the foundation of the Federated Micronations. The stamp was printed in 3 variants with different information lines, "yourstamps.com", "yourstamps.de" and "yourstamps", which also has got a lighter colour than the .com / .de variants. A 4th variant based on the .de stamp was perforated experimentally with line perforation but was not sold to the public.

  • On the day of the activation of the Federation, a Farewell issue was issued with the old state name "Dershowo Musograd". This issue was based on the 2002 Independence Day issue in a square format. The stamp was the first Musogradian one produced via line perforation technology, using an antique perforation machine weighing about 100kg. The machine was later replaced with a more modern Pernuma line perforation machine and sold to a café in Hamburg to serve as decorative element. Only low numbers of this stamp are available for public sale.
  • Date of Issue: 2004.01.13
  • Valid until 2008.08.01
  • Line perforation, glossy paper
  • Value: M$ 1.00

Definitive Issue "Musogradian Landscapes"

FM200403 Musogradian Landscapes

  • Mixed set with line perforation (M$ 0.25 and 0.50) and fixed perforation (M$ 1.00 and 1.50)
FM200403 Musogradian Landscapes

  • Small format values with fixed high precision double perforation

The first definitive series with the abbreviation "FM" for Federation of Musograd depicts landscapes of the Federation. The M$ 0.25 stamp shows Mt. Attention in the Goralni Mountains, the M$ 0.50 stamp the spectacular cliffs on the coastline east of Murwillumbah, the M$ 1.00 a view of Musograd City from the hill country north of the city, and the M$ 1.50 a view of the unspoiled coastal landscape in the Balanda Province.

The M$ 0.25 and 0.50 exist in both line perforation and fixed perforation versions, the latter produced via unique high precision double perforation using the same 4x2 perforation pattern as used for the M$ 1.00 and 1.50 stamps.

The stamps exist in two design variants, one with the manufacturer URL "yourstamps.com" and one with "yourstamps.de" as inscription within the stamp image.

The info line below the image is "yourstamps.com" for the .com variant of the M$ 0.25 and 0.50 values in fixed perforation. For the M$ 0,25 in line perforation, the ".com" image variant exists without any info line and with "yourstamps.com" info line, which is rare and not for sale. For the M$ 0.50 value in line perforation, the info line is "yourstamps" for both the .com and the .de variant.

For the M$ 1.00 and M$ 1.50 values, for the ".com" image text variant, both "yourstamps.de" and "yourstamps.com" exist as info line, the latter being extremely rare in both cases. The info line is "yourstamps" for the .de variant.

We will try to explain this situation better with a table at a later time.

In this issue, 5 flags, covering the years between 1990 and 2004 are shown, celebrating Independence Day October 3rd. The booklet sheet format was created using fixed format perforation cut in half. The sheet was not inserted into a booklet, though. The lower appendages depict the coats of arms used in the respective period.
