It has been decided to base the series on famous historic scientists. The first two stamps of the series are dedicated to the famous Spanish-Arab scientist and philosoph Averroes (Ibn Rushd, 1126-1198) (CW 0.60) who is regarded as "Founding Father of Secular Thought" in Europe and the Greek scientific philosopher Epicur (341-270 BC) (CW 1.00), who developed Demokrit's theory of atoms by adding a random swerve to atomic movement, thus avoiding determinism and foreshadowing a core idea of quantum mechanics.

Although the new government stabilized the state and launched the Australija settlement policy, it failed in its long term targets, being defeated by the Nationalists in a civil war in 2000. The current Protectorate government has the same roots as the "Red Parramatta" officers of 1996 and decided to honour them and their almost forgotten part in Musogradian and Federation history on their 20th anniversary.

Commemorative issue "UK EU Referendum"

FM2016-09 UK EU Referendum

On 2016.06.23, the citizens of the United Kingdom voted on the EU membership of the UK. England and Wales voted to leave the EU, while Scotland, Northern Ireland and Gibraltar voted against leaving. The total result was a slim majority for leaving the EU. This result was a shock to the FM due to their strong relationship with various regions and people in the UK. The Diplomatic Service of the Federated Micronations sees the decision as a step towards the breakup of the United Kingdom, although no additional diplomatic measures were taken - the Kingdom of Scotland is already recognized by the FM, and the situations of Gibraltar and Northern Ireland are both too complicated to make any diplomatic measure advisable. The stamp symbolizes the disappointment about the decision and the impression of an UK fading into history, by showing a British flag in fading shades of grey. The surcharge of CW 1.00 will be dedicated to the support of Musogradians in the UK.

  • Date of Issue: 2016.06.28
  • Fixed perforation, matt paper
  • Values: CW 2.00 + 1.00 surcharge
  • Order No. FM201609 (CW 3.00)

Commemorative issue "200th Anniversary of the sinking of the Frigate Meduse"

FM2016-10 Meduse 200th Anniversary

The French frigate "Méduse" became famous through its shipwreck in 1816 and the following evacuation, using two small boats pulling a raft made from parts of the frigate. The boats, manned by the officers and the upper echelons of the crew, soon abandoned the raft with the rest of the crew to its fate. This soon came to be interpreted as a symbol of the class hierarchy of society. The fate of the raft was made immortal by a painting by Théodore Géricault, "Le Radeau de la Méduse", which was used as basis for the miniature sheet, and by Hans-Werner Henze's opera "Das Floss der Medusa" (1968 / 1971), from which some lines (in English) are quoted on the miniature sheet. The surcharge of CW 2.00 will be dedicated to MOAS Migrant Offshore Aid Station . The miniature sheets exists in two variants, with one and with two performance holes over the stamps on the vertical perforation lines - one of each variant is contained on a standard printing sheet.
